At the link, there is a petition to sign and information about who in Pennsylvania to contact to voice your displeasure or rage. 

Nobody fucking trusts pregnant people to know that they are in fact pregnant. These ultrasound laws are invasive, disgusting and demeaning. From the article:

“In addition to mandating the much-maligned transvaginal ultrasound requirements since rejected by the state of Virginia, Pennsylvania legislators proposed strongly encouraging women to view and listen to the ultrasounds, forcing technicians to give the women personalized copies of the results and mandating how long before any abortion the ultrasound much be preformed — and that’s just for starters.”

What purpose does this serve other than to shame women into having unwanted babies? None, that’s what.

I give up all hope of ever having full rights.  There’s no chance for equality.  People come to this country/stay in this country for hope and this is the kind of horse shit we get slapped in the face with.  I don’t understand where things peaked and then began their reverse slide.

And if they don’t want there to be a fight over it, why don’t they take away our rights to vote (again).  That way they can silence us the old fashioned way.

This is ridiculous. How do people come up with this? How about I shove an ultrasound up your anus and keep it there until I feel it’s been there long enough and we’ll see how you vote?

Or, oh all the women can move out of Pennsylvania. Just no women in the state whatsoever. Then the men can go fuck themselves. Literally and metaphorically. They can use the ultrasound machines if they wish.

Here’s an idea. You don’t get to make laws that govern my body and my free will. I willingly follow laws that keep us as a society safe. I stop at red lights, I don’t kill or steal, and I have no problem following such laws. I’ve even allowed TSA to body scan, pat down and swab my hands to show I have nothing to hide and I understand we are paranoid about airport security. But you don’t get to decide for me when life begins, or what medical procedures I have to endure. You don’t get to put things inside me that I don’t want there. I may not live in Pennsylvania but that doesn’t matter. If one state oks this, others will try.

I swear you would think we don’t live in the 21st century. I’m disgusted. I’m shocked, appalled, disgusted and disappointed.
